The South Sudanese ambassador to Eritrea Thursday collapsed at a banking hall and died in Nairobi.
Officials said Mr Michael Nyang Jook, 66, had been to a bank near Kencom area in the Central Business District where he was being attended when he collapsed and died.
He was alone at the time of the incident. The officials who rushed to the scene said Jook has been in Nairobi for long.
Central police boss Mark Wanjala said they were called by the bank security and informed of an incident where a VIP had collapsed and died before they informed the relevant agencies for action.
“The cause of the death is yet to be established. We will know after an autopsy is conducted,” he said.
