Manchester United played against Real Madrid in Miami on Tuesday, beating the Champions League giants 2-1 in the final game of their US tour.
Before the match, Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio trolled David de Gea by calling the Spanish goalkeeper ‘Karius’ in the tunnel, according to Metro.
Loris Karius has come under a lot of criticism after his mistakes saw Liverpool lose to Real Madrid in Champions League final last season. His mistakes seems to have cost him his future at Anfield after the Reds acquired Alisson on a world record fee for a goalkeeper.
When De Gea and other players were making their way to the pitch, Asensio could be heard saying ‘Karius, Karius, Karius,’
However, De Gea was not disturbed by Asensio’s ridicule as the 27-year-old proceeded to help United win the friendly.
