We are more racist than we admit

Poke the bear time.

I have watched that clip of Rutos pilot assaulting a policewoman and I felt violated. That pilot should be charged with assault but not be accused of racism or negligence.

The pilot is asking the officer to do her job, to ask the people to stay back for their own security, he is demanding service, something most of us are too intimidated to do.

The comments and hashtag ?#?DeportRutosPilot are more racist than his actions. For starters he is a white pilot employed by a black man, he is trying to protect his black client and black spectators.

If we stopped looking at his color and turned him into a super beautiful black lady pilot, we would probably be asking her to vie for Governor in 2017.

From another perspective, by calling him racist we are looking at his color without appreciating his intentions and hence perpetuating the same "mtu wetu" mentality we hate so much among our tribes.

He crossed the line assaulting the officer, but we should also learn from him to kindly and with confidence demand for people to do their work.
