Bungoma, Kenya: Six people were Monday admitted at Webuye Referral Hospital in critical condition after a gang attacked Malaha village in Webuye East Constituency, Bungoma County.
Bungoma County Commissioner Maalim Mohammed who visited the injured in hospital said one key suspect had been arrested and is assisting police with investigations.
He added that police arrived at the village soon after to investigate the motive of the attack.
Maalim added that the gang of between five and 10 men attacked the victims with machetes and managed to steal a few items.

Doctors at the hospital told The Standard that the victims are out of danger although one of them needs to be transferred to Moi Teaching and Refferal Hospital in Eldoret for further treatment.
