NAIROBI, KENYA: Three High Court judges hearing case against the impeachment of Embu Governor Martin Wambora have clarified that they have not reinstated him but just suspended a gazette notice that announced his impeachment.
In a statement sent to newsrooms, Judges Hedwig Ong'udi, Cecilia Githua and Boaz Olao said suspending the gazette notice does not overrule the Senates decision nor reinstate Wambora.
The Judges have further added that the gazette notice was merely meant to inform the public about the Senate’s decision.
“Parties are therefore advised from making comments that are prejudicial to these proceedings. They are further advised from making their own interpretations to orders issued by this court,” concluded the statement.
