Murang’a, Kenya: A Form Three student was shot and injured as an abduction gang struck Kimorori village in Murang’a County kidnapping a 50-year-old farmer.
The student, Bernard Ngige, was shot as he responded to a distress call from the homestead of Simon Njaramba Waweru who was later kidnapped.
Ngige was shot in the leg by the fleeing gang.
Murang’a County Police Commander Naomi Ichami confirmed the incident saying police have launched investigations.

Ichami said the victim was pulled out from the kitchen by the marauding gang.
