Apple frangipane: Ingredients
-375g packet ready rolled puff pastry
-200g blackberries
-1 eating apple, sliced
For the frangipane
-125g butter
-125g caster sugar
-125g ground almonds
-2 eggs
-1 tbsp of flour
Procedure
1 To make the frangipane filling cream the butter and sugar together in a large bowl until light and fluffy then gradually beat in the eggs, one at a time. Fold in the ground almonds and flour, then give it all a good mix.
2Heat the oven to 220C/Gas Mark 7.
3 Unravel the pastry. Using a rolling pin, roll it out a little and lay it on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the frangipane on top then evenly distribute the blackberries and sliced apple. Bake it for 20 minutes until golden.
