Indigestion is such a bad feeling. It can spoil your whole day in a matter of minutes. It’s both uncomfortable and painful. Sometimes it just occurs at the worst times when it’s hard to access medical assistance. While at other times it’s really not that bad and can be dealt with at home and if you have a few ingredients at home it can save you an unnecessary trip to the doctor’s office.

To avoid cases of indigestion it’s important to be mindful of what you consume and how much you are consuming. Overeating is one of the courses of indigestion so be mindful of your portions. You can always save the rest for later.

Including enough fiber in your diet is a great way to avoid indigestion. Vegetables, fruits and whole grains provide the fiber we need for digestion. Drinking enough water is also a great way to avoid cases of indigestion. Ensure to consume eight glasses of water and eat a balanced diet.

Even with all that said and done, indigestion may happen even after taking precaution and doing everything right so don’t be too hard on yourself if it does.

Here are some homemade digestives you can use to bring relief from indigestion.
