After trying for years, American actress, activist and author Gabrielle Monique Union-Wade held her first baby with husband, American professional basketball player Dwyane Tyrone Wade Jr. The two, who have been married since 2014, could not hide their joy as they took to social media to share the great news.

"We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that, our miracle baby, arrived last night (11/7) via surrogate…Welcome to the party sweet girl!" they posted separately.

The baby girl whose name is yet to be disclosed was born on November 7th through a surrogate. Gabrielle, who has not had any kids before has been open about her infertility struggles over the years and in 2017 revealed that she had suffered about eight or nine miscarriages.

In her book, We're Going to Need More Wine, the Being Mary Jane star wrote, “I have had eight or nine miscarriages. For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant — I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.”

Wade has children from previous relationships.
