Orinda said he fears for his life as he’s cellmates with Lawrence Warunge.

A Nairobi-based tout who earlier this month went viral following an outrageous confession that he smokes bhang to understand the BBI is claiming that his life is in danger. The tout identified as Wycliffe Aloys Orinda said he fears for his life as he’s cellmates with Lawrence Warunge, the university student accused of killing five members of his family in the Kiambaa. Appearing before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku, Orinda who was shoeless and wearing only his innerwear alleged that his belongings were stolen in remand.

“Your honor, they took my shoes and trouser and I am being held with another suspect who killed five family members. I am scared my life is in danger,” Orinda said.

He added that he was not at peace sharing the same cell with Warunge and to have the court release him on the basis that the remand was not a safe place. However, the Magistrate ordered Orinda to undergo a psychiatric evaluation to ascertain his fitness to stand trial. The test will be conducted at the Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital, Nairobi.

Earlier this month, Orinda pleaded guilty to a charge of creating a disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace. He was accused of storming his wife’s workplace in the city centre demanding to be see his children.

On the other hand, Warunge is being held in police custody after he confessed to killing his parents, brother, cousin and their farm worker earlier this month. The 22-year-old shockingly revealed that he was inspired by TV drama series. After committing the murders, the university student showered and ate the food the mother was preparing and later sat down and watched a programme on television.
