Gichugu Member of Parliament Njogu Barua has told those he floored during the 2013 general elections to stop calling themselves waheshimiwa, since they did not make it to Parliament.
Baraua claimed that losers assuming the tittle of Mheshimiwa were creating confusion and disharmony, and should therefore wait until 2017.
He said: “I am asking the 2013 general election losers to stop causing confusion in Gichugu by demanding to be addressed as waheshimiwa by their supporters. Constitutionally, I’m the only MP in the area.’’
The legislator was reacting to his former competitors who have allegedly been traversing the constituency and referring to themselves as waheshimiwa, yet “they do not have any mandate from the electorate.”
