After Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) bashed Governor Mike Sonko for erecting a statue of a lion that was not so expertly done, a new one has been put in place.
Exclusive photos seen by Ureport showed work being done on the statue at night and the new one in place has been given a thumbs up by the online community.
The first statue drew angry reactions from Kenyans who said it was a waste of taxpayers’ money.
Seems Sonko acted quickly to fix the mess and Ondula Oshoto, the man behind the famous lion, said the first one was not meant to be placed at the CBD.

“That particular lion was supposed to be placed at an amusement park otherwise the lion that was meant to be here is the one that is in front of you now,” he said while speaking to a local daily.
KOT were quick to weigh in on the new one and this is what they had to say:
“uyo alikuwa “Simba Wa Muda!”
“Ya kwanza ilikuwa placeholder.”
“Shows that 047 listens... You don't have to book an appointment with him, just tweet it.”
“What if the lions are doing shifts?”
“The trial version ended.”
“Atleast sasa hii, ya kwanza ilikuwa simba arati.”
