An MP from Nyanza is currently under investigations over claims he has been importing contraband sugar from the neighbouring countries.

Sleuths are said to be piecing up information that could see the second term legislator arrested and charged for engaging in illegal business.

Those familiar with the investigation say that the imported sweetener is packaged into local brands before being distributed to wholesalers in the region and other parts of the country.

The transportation of the commodity is normally done late in the evening and early in, perhaps as a measure of not arousing suspicion from the public.

It is only a matter of time before the police pounce on the (dis)honourable politician.
