Kenyan Gospel musicians Wahu Kagwi and Roy Smith Mwita aka Rufftone have landed jobs in the Ministry of Education.

The Two were selected to be advocates to champion Technical and Vocational Training (TVET) agenda among the youth.

Wahu, who holds a Mathematics Degree from the University of Nairobi, thanked Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed for the opportunity and expressed her support for the initiative.

“Encouraging uptake of TVET is such an impactful way of dealing with the employment and skills gap we are currently facing!!” said Wahu.

The singer also advised the youth when choosing careers urging them to ‘think broad and wide’.

“To the youth, I say this, we need to demystify the notion that success only comes in the form of white-collar employment. Life has personally taught me otherwise. There is enough space in the sky for all our starts to shine. So as you consider your career options, think broad and wide. You were not designed to fail, remember that. You must own your success story and control your destiny,” Wahu advised the youth.
