Nakuru, Kenya: Transport has been paralysed at Salgaa Trading Center along the busy Nakuru-Eldoret Highway after residents joined the business community in a massive demonstration.
The protestors are accusing Nakuru county government of failing to construct parking lanes for trucks.
The angry demonstrators set on fire a fire engine belonging to the county government.
They also lit bon fires along a two-kilometre stretch. Hundreds of motorists are stranded and police are overwhelmed.
Business premises also remained shut down.
