Eldoret, Kenya: Two people were killed and five sustained serious injuries in an accident at Cheptiret Trading Centre in Uasin Gishu County.
The accident, which occurred along Eldoret- Nakuru highway, involved two trucks, Prado, Land Cruiser and a saloon car.
Eldoret Traffic Base Commander Humphrey Abai said the accident occurred when a truck from Nakuru attempted to overtake another lorry.
He said the overtaking truck lost control and hit the oncoming Prado.

He added that the truck swayed then its container dislodged and fell onto a saloon car from the opposite direction. Abai added that the injured were rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH).
