While some Kenyans complain of the harsh economic times, it is fast becoming clear that ‘economic hardships’ are not felt across the spectrum. This became clear yet again thanks to the brand new BMW i8 that hit the streets to the delight of onlookers.

Quite the beast on Kenyan roads, onlookers were quick to photograph and share it on social media under allegations that it had been shipped in by a senior politicians ahead of the campaigns but no! The BMW belongs to Kelvin Mulei, Owner of Mo Sound events and the pioneer of Groove Awards in Kenya.

Having kept a low profile over the years, many know Mulei for his business brands while those in the Gospel industry look up to him as a mentor owing to his levels of achievement. Despite all the hype looming around home, Kelvin Mulei often chose to dissociate from it but keeping the BMW i8 on the low is not an easy task.

Back in the day, Mulei had faced criticism in regards to how the Groove Awards were being managed to which he had responded saying,

“For one to grow, one must be criticized. I have had enough of that in the past. We all learn from our mistakes and make the future better.”

At the same time, he kept saying that his monetary expenditure was often channeled towards investments. Perhaps it was now time to reward his efforts and clearly the future turned out better and sleeker, if the latest BMW i8 is anything to go by.
