The first time I came to Nairobi was in 2012 for a concert. I wanted to look around and have a feel of the city, but I could not find a ‘guide’ to take me around. My time was limited due to my performance schedule.
At the hotel, I met some artistes who were in Nairobi for some event and we decided to venture out together on our own. We had so much fun. It was the first time I had lamb and it tasted so, so, so, so good! Of course there is lamb in Nigeria, but I don’t move around a lot when I am home.
With the type of attention I attract, going out and having a meal can be hectic and not so enjoyable. I had a certain freedom to walk around and not get mobbed in Nairobi.
