The 30-year-old was arrested for a firearms offence but agencies are reportedly clamouring to sign him after his looks made women across the globe swoon

Jeremy Meeks, dubbed the world's most handsome crook, could bag up tp $30k a month in modelling contracts with agencies reportedly clamoring to sign him.

Meeks, 30, has stolen the hearts of women around the world after police put his mugshot on Facebook following his arrest for firearms offences by police targeting gang behavior in the Californian city of Stockton.

Cops said he is one of the most violent criminals in the Stockton area, but his mugshot went viral and has been liked almost 40,000 times. He is currently being held on $900,000 bail ahead of his next court appearance on Friday.

With his blue eyes and chiselled features, no mugshot has grabbed anywhere near that much attention since the Facebook page was set up two years ago.

One agency, Blaze Modelz told TMZ that it could "book Meeks with high-end fashion houses -- like Versace and Armani -- and he could rake in $15 - $30K a month."

The agency said Meeks' face tattoos - which includes a tear drop under his left eye - were seen as "edgy and sexy," the website reports.

Another unnamed agency told TMZ it too would also like to sign Meeks.

His mum Katherine Angier has set up a GoFundMe page with a $25k target to 'help him get a fair trial', saying her son has no gang affiliations and was on his way to work when he was arrested.

The page has been shared 24,000 times since it was launched with over $3,500 being raised so far, mainly by anonymous donators.
