Teen commits suicide after being banned from Facebook

A teenage girl reportedly committed suicide after her mother told her that she was wasting her time browsing on Facebook.

Aditi Gupta, 13, who lives in India, was on Facebook when her mother, 36-year-old Mohana Gupta demanded she close her Facebook account because the teen had been spending too much time on “I want that Facebook account closed by the time I come home,” said Mohana allegedly told her daughter.

 Hours later, the mother returned home to find that her young daughter had hanged herself. She immediately called police and during her questioning she said she could not believe her daughter would end her life over ‘something so trivial’.
