Police in Waitaluk, Kiminini in Trans Nzoia have arrested a 58-year-old man alleged to have defiled at least seven children aged between 3 and 10 on diverse dates in December 2021.
The suspect works as a herdsman at a local school.
He allegedly lured the children into his house using money, biscuits and other material items, police said.
Five parents of the children had filed police reports alleging that the minors had been defiled.

On Saturday, January 8, police tracked down the suspect to his house located within a primary school compound, and arrested him.
He is being held in custody at the Sirende Police Station pending arraignment on Monday, January 10.
One of the children, aged 7, alleged that the suspect defiled her six times on different dates in December 2021.
She alleged that she was sexually abused when she was sent to buy milk from a dealer within the school.
She said the suspect gave her Sh10 and warned her against reporting the incident.
The girl’s mother says a medical examination confirmed that her child was defiled.
Another family claims the suspect defiled their 3-year-old and 10-year-old daughters on diverse dates.
The 3-year-old child said the suspect gave her Sh50 after allegedly committing the act.
Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Sam Ojwang’ said the suspect will be arraigned, vowing to protect children against sexual predators.
