Police in Migori County have arrested a man said to have hacked his disabled son to death on Tuesday evening.
The suspect is said to have attacked the 10-year-old with a machete. The boy died on the spot.
Angry residents attacked the suspect and wanted to lynch him before the police rescued him.
The man has been locked up at Kehancha Police Station as detectives launched investigations into the incident.
County police commander Mark Wanjala said they were yet to establish the motive of the attack.

“We have launched investigations into the incident,” he said.
