Police officers with a police sniffer dog did not leave any stone unturned knowing well Vihiga county was a NASA zone they made sure security was enhanced before the arrival of the Deputy President William Ruto and other Jubilee leaders who accompanied him.
Ruto who is trying to make inroads in the county ahead of October 26 election day. The police were spotted taking a sniffer dog to VIP mobile latrines.
This was in a function at Yusuf Chanzu's home compound in Mbale, Vihiga County where he hosted Deputy President on October 4, 2017.

The measures were taken just in case Opposition supporters decided to start their Anti-IEBC demos to disrupt DP Ruto’s meeting.
They used every means possible to ensure that the venue of the meeting was safe.
