Following last week’s political move by Popular TV comedian Prof Eshuya alias ‘Bishop’, fans across the country who are aligned to NASA vowed to boycott from watching his comedies should he maintain his stand to support Jubilee Party.

‘Profesa’ Eshuya had been serving as NASA’s presidential campaign MC. His resignation attracted hundreds to thousands of comments from his followers, some applauding his second move while others hurling curses.

Prof Eshuya who is an actor in the show Mshamba KTN vowed to continue to give a deaf ear to his critics despite heating debates about his future in comedy.

Abiniza Mulokwe wrote, “Eshuya you were so passionate about ANC you felt jilted and you got angry like Uhuru did with Maraga. So for how long are you going to be in exile?”

Whereas another user identified as Faith Nanyama applauded Eshuya’s move, “Spread your wings bro!! Follow your interests we will never pay your bills.”

The comedian has however dismissed his critics terming them as enemies of progress in democracy. “It has come to my attention that people are insulting me, calling me names but of course this won’t change my move.” wrote Eshuya.

He is a former ally to ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and has not disclosed substantial reasons why he decided to decamp from NASA to Jubilee but political pundits argue that he must have arrived at this to quench his personal interests.

Eshuya has however dismissed the allegations mounted against him and termed them as too tribal and has nothing to do with his career.

“People should cease from these sideshows, I’m not bound to one party, one community or an area but I’m here as an artist to serve the entire nation without boundaries,” said Eshuya
