State directs Kalonzo, Kuria and Nyong'o to apologise over remarks on Msando

NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Kisumu Senator Anyang’ Nyong’o have been told to apologise for making unsavoury remarks.

Government Spokesman Eric Kiraithe said their remarks caused anguish to families of the slain electoral agency official Chris Msando, military spokesman Joseph Owuoth and acting Interior CS Fred Matiang’i.

Kuria had said the late Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission’s ICT manager was enjoying himself with a woman before news of his killing. 

Prof Nyong’o on the other hand had claimed military spokesman Joseph Owuoth had gone missing.

Kalonzo linked Msando’s death to Government and demanded that Dr Matiang’i should explain who was behind the killing.

Kiraithe said the Government would not rest until Msando’s killers were apprehended. “No one will escape. Moses Kuria owes the family an apology as his utterances were very offensive,” he said.
