Two members of the county assembly have ditched Governor Sospeter Ojaamong's camp and joined Funyula MP Paul Otuoma's side.
The two, Deputy Speaker Moses Otee (Angurai South ward representative) and his Angurai North counterpart Maurice Chetambe were previously close allies of Mr Ojaamong.
They are both from Teso North sub-county, Mr Ojaamong's backyard.
The two cited non-performance of Ojaamong's administration and accused him of failing to deliver the gains of devolution to the electorate compared to others counties.
"We have nothing to show as people of Busia after four years. You cannot compare Busia to other counties before devolution and now. We have done absolutely nothing," said Mr Chetambe.

The two claimed Mr Otuoma won the disputed ODM party nominations.
"We all know that Otuoma won the nominations and he triumphed in most of the polling stations here in Teso North," said Chetambe
The move comes barely two weeks since Leader of Majority Josephat Wandera jumped ship to support Otuoma, citing massive corruption in the county government.
The disputed party primaries have seen a number of aspirants choose to vie for various seats in the August 8 polls as independent candidates.
