Security is a mess at Ganjoni area, Mombasa

We wish to alert the authority that the area of Ganjoni near CMC, Mombasa County has lately been hit by a spate of violence which is now tarnishing the good name of the peaceful area.

Last year an Mpesa agent lost Sh200000. Two weeks ago, a customer parked her car outside a hotel at around 5:00 pm and although her car had an alarm, it did not go off.

Her vehicle had been broken into and she lost a handbag and a laptop.

In the middle of March, robbers attacked a night guard with a ‘panga’ inside a petrol station and his condition is unknown.

We wish to point out people who are non-residents and who wake up as early as 5.30 to sit on stones and veranda from morning to evening, just reading newspapers.

Let the security be beefed up and get rid of these idlers.

They may be the cause of the insecurity, because employers are losing items like spare parts, tires, new furniture you name it and it is rumored that they are behind this vice.

Let us teach our children how to ‘eat’ from our own sweat. Let these people be dealt with immediately.
