Nominated Senator Martha Wangari and Nakuru Kikuyu Council of Elders want Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama to apologise over his controversial utterances at a Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) rally at Uhuru Park last week.
Ms Wangari said the remarks by her counterpart were embarrassing to the Senate because they demeaned women and disrespected the Presidency.
The UDF senator said CORD should offer solutions to problems facing the country instead of treating the public to mere theatrics and publicity stunts.
Separately, the Kikuyu Council of Elders (Kiama Kia Ama) has threatened to curse the senator if he does not apologise to Kenyans for allegedly abusing the President and women.
