Kenya: The pandemonium in Migori that left three people dead at the weekend during the ODM grassroots elections should be condemned in the strongest terms possible.
Although some ODM officials have denied the death reports, security officers have confirmed about the mayhem.
It is disheartening that ODM elections have been characterised by chaos over the years. The scene of Men in Black who overturned tables during the Kasarani elections is still fresh in the minds of Kenyans.
In this new dispensation of multi-party democracy, political violence has become anathema and abhorrent to many.
Politics should be devoid of violence and chaos. The time to change political strategy in elections is now.
