Budalang’i MP Ababu Namwambu wants Governor Sospeter Ojaamong (pictured) to champion the Tokelezea ID registration process in the county.
This is an initiative that aims at registering people aged 18 and above who have not obtained identification cards.
“ID cards are not just for voting, they will also help the youth access Government services from both the county and national governments. They also come in handy during the employment process and admission into college,” Ababu said during the launch of the Tokelezea ID initiative held at St Mathias Secondary School in Busia.
The governor said the Tokelezea ID initiative is a noble idea whose time has come and urged residents who have not acquired ID cards to come forward and register.
