Kenya will be among the 150 countries and global organisations that will showcase their potential in the Expo Milano 2015 in Milan, Italy.
Tourism Cabinet Secretary Phyllis Kandie yesterday said State agencies charged with marketing and branding Kenya and the private sector will participate in the expo which will start later this week and is organised by the Italian Government.
"The expo offers us an opportunity to dilute the negative perception foreign countries have been spreading against Kenya in the global tourism market," said Mrs. Kandie. "Our delegation will exploit the opportunity to ensure our country regains its glory as a rich tourism destination in the world. Further, the event will provide an avenue for us to expand our export market to Italy and other countries that will be participating in the expo."
The exhibition offers the country an opportunity to showcase its potential in agriculture, tourism, livestock, trade, export and investment opportunities, art and culture.
She said Kenya will be selling its products under the theme "Kenya: The Land of Unlimited Possibilities."
