To live peacefully and in harmony is a recipe for socio-economic, political and cultural development. Hatred and conflicts are enemies of development.
The persistent conflicts between Turkanas and Pokots have led them to be poor and underdeveloped.
The root cause of this conflict has not been established and addressed. To a great extent, the conflicts have been mitigated and dots of development have been noticed.
The role of NGOs in these counties cannot be over-emphasised. The efforts of the Government has not been felt in anyway.
Historically, Pokots have been blamed on accounts not of their own.
