Uasin Gishu, Kenya: Residents of Kipsamo village, Kapseret constituency in Uasin Gishu County woke up to the news of the death of a 23-year-old man who allegedly consumed a lot of illicit brew.
Tecla Maritim, a relative of the deceased, revealed that attempts to discourage him from excessive drinking were futile despite the death of his father.
“It is unfortunate that at one time, he excessively consumed the illicit brew and became unconscious, we thought the incident would change him but his untimely death has proved otherwise,” she stated.
According to the villagers, the deceased had been drinking at a house of one of the brewers, where he took too much of the brew.
