Kakamega, Kenya: A police officer went berserk and started shooting randomly injuring his colleagues before killing himself in Harambee Police Station in Kakamega County.
The officer (name withheld until his next of kin are informed), is alleged to have fired several shots at random, injuring fellow officers before taking his own life in the Thursday morning incident.
The motive for killing himself has not been established although some have attributed it to domestic issues.
Mumias OCPD George Seda arrived at the scene to assess the situation immediately after the incident occurred. Accompanying him were other senior officers from Mumias Central.
