ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna at a past function. He has dismissed a report that ODM is facing challenges in nominating a candidate for Kibra's MP seat.

The Orange Democratic Party has termed as false reports claiming that they are not ready for the Kibra by-election nominations, affirming that they are prepared for the exercise scheduled for September 7.

The report claims that ODM is facing challenges in nominating a candidate for Kibra's MP seat and that there has to be a concord first over the mode of nomination.

In a Twitter post, the party wants Kenyans to treat the information as fake.

"Ignore the lead story on the @TheStarKenya. We are ready for the nomination exercise in Kibra this Saturday, September 7, 2019 at all @IEBCKenya gazetted polling stations. All candidates who were cleared for the nominations are also ready for the exercise. It is all systems go," posted ODM

The party further warned against 'speculative tendencies' that cause unnecessary friction and tension.

"We have channels of communication within the party and any information needed for dissemination should be sought from the SG, ED or the Director of Communications," added the party.

However, ODM urged its supporters to prepare for the nominations outlining that only registered members are eligible to participate in the process. ?
