Chief Mediator Koffi Annan has arrived in the country on Tuesday for a three-day visit. During his stay in Kenya, Annan will meet both President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Annan will also hold meetings with the Serena Team that negotiated the Grand Coalition deal and members of the civil society organisations.
He will also chair a meeting of the Alliance for Green Revolution in Africa. The former UN Secretary General is the Green Revolution in Africa chairman.
Annan is visiting the country as debate on the Draft Constitution review process kicks off in Parliament on Tuesday afternoon. MPs have only six days to debate the Draft Constitution in Parliament.
The visit also comes against a backdrop of a list of 20 top personalities handed to the International Criminal Court by Chief Prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo at The Hague early this month.
The 20, according to Ocampo, who are from both PNU and ODM, are the key perpetrators of the December 2007 post-election violence that saw close to 1500 Kenyans killed and thousands internally displaced from their homes.
