Most people would describe water as tasteless, but the taste in water comes mostly from the container it has been stored in. One container that gives water a cooling and refreshing taste is a clay pot. Store drinking water in a clay pot in your kitchen and you need not keep water in the fridge.

Clay pots are available mostly in rural Kenya. Traders who sell plants and pots by the road side in major towns can modify clay pots by making them with a tap to dispense water. I had one modified for me.

The cost varies with size and where purchased. A close estimate would be anything from Sh500 for a medium-sized pot to Sh2,000 and more if you get a big one.

What are you most likely very wrong about?
