As the scramble for the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) directorship positions got underway, the Zone Five Director Jeptha Nyaga Karua (above centre) has recaptured his seat after flooring his perennial rival. Karua obtained 22 votes against Munene Wega’s 13 thereby retaining his seat to carry on with the mandate for the second term. The elections, done through secret ballot, were held at the Kangaita Tea Farm. ‘’My re-election is a confirmation of the servant leadership I have continued to render to the farmers and I assure them that am going to strive and do better,” Karua said.
