Ooh Lala, Yvonne Darcq has been on board; taking off with Dandia rapper, Kristoff. It’s a three-month affair that has seen her leave the leafy suburbs of Westlands to Eastlands, that is the power of love.
After 11 years of romance, this hot singing diva has a change of tune and the victim, as it would seem is Syddo, the baby daddy she ditched for the bad boy of rap this week. Feel the pulse!
“Where do you get such stories? I am not really dating him (Kristoff),” Yvonne refuted when we called her to respond.
“Did you part ways with Syddo,” we asked.
“That is none of your business. It is my personal life,” she noted.

Yvonne Darcq has been spotted around town with Kristoff. The two, who have been public about the going on, have been raising eyebrows with their appearance.
In fact, Pulse can reveal that Yvonne has been taking Kristoff across the country. The two were in Eldoret late last month where the Dandia artiste was the main act at the All White Party at Club 411.
In a span of over a month now, Kristoff has been taking a big chunk of space on Yvonne’s Instagram account and heart and a number of artistes including Buganya, Nessa, Ulopa Ngoma and Khaligraph know of the affair; it is official, Kristoff has replaced Syddo as the main man in the sexy artiste’s life.
She left their uptown home this week to move in with Kristoff.
Sydney ‘Syddo’ Armstrong is one of the most unappreciated sound engineers in the country. He is the CEO and head producer at Headbangaz International, the hip-hop studio in Westlands that has produced notable works including Ukoo Flani’s earth shattering album, Kaya Hip-hop.
The 29-year-old is rarely seen in social events. He prefers to keep a low profile, spending hours in the studio housed in the same building as Skyluxx Lounge. Apart from a close circle of friends and artistes he works with, his life is rarely scrutinised.
Back to Yvonne, the Ooh Lala Oui Oui singer is said to be living in Eastlands after leaving her ‘matrimonial’ home. In between recording music with Bwana Ngoma, she is busy taking her new man around. She recently accompanied Kristoff and Buganya to KISS FM where Adelle Onyango was hosting the boys after the release of their news song, Am So Drunk. Kristoff’s brother Nelson was there too. She also took the pair to Capital FM.
“Treat that as a rumour. It is a stupid one,” Kristoff told Pulse.
Syddo did not pick our calls when we tried to reach him for comment.
Yvonne met Syddo, who is of mixed Kenyan and South African parentage, nearly 17 years ago. In fact, the two had been romantically involved for over 11 years and they have two kids together. Things have not been rosy between the two.
Late last year, Yvonne posted a photo with the inscription, ‘Happy birthday to my man #mylove #myhappiness we have been 11 years strong, we ain’t perfect and we have our share of ups and downs but we are perfectly imperfect, I can’t even picture my life without you, you are #mybackbone #myheart #mylife #myeverything. I love you honey.’
With the frequency of her social interactions a pointer to her personal life, the appearance of Kristoff is an indication that she has moved on. In the meantime, Kristoff has stayed clear off revealing his interest by not posting any photo alongside Yvonne.
As things sit, there won’t be a 12th year for the relationship that has been kept under wraps for so long. Also, she is said to have ditched Headbangaz where she used to brush shoulders with A-List artistes that Syddo used to produce for. The new affair will also bring into sharp focus the relationship that the mainstream artistes around Kristoff and Yvonne will have with the hip-hop gang that surrounds Syddo.
Basically, this new move is expected to brew war in the already divided hip-hop world as Headbangaz artistes and the new Kristoff camp are two major warring hip-hop factions.
‘However when sought for comment, both Kristoff and Darcq denied existence of the affair.
“Where did you get such a rumour? It is a stupid one and do not write such s**t,” Kristoff responded when asked to comment on the matter.
Darcq also denied that she is dating Kristoff and neither confirmed nor denied parting ways with Syddo.
“First of all, that is none of your business. It is my personal life and don’t try to meddle,” she said of the matter.’
