Brazilian superstar Neymar might be out injured at the moment, but he didn't let it hamper his 27th birthday celebrations.

The Paris Saint-Germain star even sported on theme red crutches for his mega birthday bash in the French capital as he refuses to let his injury setback get him down.

Thiago Silva attended with girlfriend Isabele.

The former Barcelona man hosted a glittering birthday bash with some star-studded names amongst the 200 guests to celebrate reaching his latest milestone.

The "Red Night" themed event saw Neymar greet guests on the red carpet with his colourful crutches, matching blazer and hat.

World surf champion Gabriel Medina (left) was at Neymar's birthday bash.

He was reportedly on the verge of cancelling the event as he prepares to be side-lined until mid-April but eventually decided to try and lift his spirits by celebrating anyway.

"What I wanted the most as a birthday present today is a new metatarsal so I could be on the field fighting and doing what I love the most, which is playing soccer,” he was quoted as saying in a birthday speech by ESPN .

“It’s been very hard to be on crutches all this time. Every athlete knows how hard that is.

"They (his PSG team-mates) are giving me all the strength possible to help me return as soon as possible."

Neymar's mother, Nadine, and son, Davi, both joined him at the event .

Paris Saint-Germain skipper and Brazil team-mate Thiago Silva plus former Manchester United man Angel Di Maria were among those in attendance, as well as Brazilian world surf champion Gabriel Medina.

The event was hosted at the Pavillon Gabriel, near the Champs-Elysees in the French capital.

The new Neymar Beats by Dr Dre headphones will be available in early March.

The Brazilian has also received a special birthday gift from Beats by Dr Dre, teaming up with the headphone giants to release a special, custom-designed set available to fans in spring.

Angel Di Maria was also at his team-mates birthday event .

Inspired by the graffiti-style of his home city of Sao Paulo and featuring his iconic No.10 inside the headband, guests at his birthday party were gifted with the headphones that will be available to the public from Apple.com in early March.

Neymar looks set to miss both legs of PSG's Champions League last-16 tie with Manchester United as the club take a conservative approach to his recovery to avoid further damage.
