The missing driver to Kitui Deputy Governor Deputy Governor Wathe Nzau has been arrested.
Anthony Kang'oti went missing on 9th August with the DG’s official vehicle, prompting a search by detectives.
According Kitui County Police Commander Antony Kamitu, he was found drunk in a bar at Bamburi’s Kiembeni area, Mombasa County after his phone was traced to the locality.
Reported missing
It is reported that Kang'oti went missing on Thursday after dropping off the DG at a requiem mass for 10 students who died in a tragic road accident in Mwingi.

Following his disappearance, detectives set out to track the DG’s official car, a Land Cruiser Prado registration number KBW 893V.
According to police reports, the vehicle was found abandoned in Likoni while the driver was tracked down and found in Kiembeni.
Kamitu was arrested and taken to Bamburi Police Stataion and will face charges of misusing a government vehicle.
