- Kirinyaga has raised Sh51.9 million for President Uhuru
- Governor Waiguru said that the money was raised out of generosity of leaders in the region
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has raised Sh51.9 million in two days for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The Governor together with other Kirinyaga County leaders raised the money for the re-election campaigns of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the former Devolution Cabinet Secretary, the Kirinyaga leaders who raised the amount included the County Assembly members who generously contributed towards the initiative.
“We have sacrificed ourselves to raise this amount because we want the campaigns for our President in this region to be successful. We are taking these campaigns seriously and every resident should know that,” the first time Governor said addressing Jubilee Party supporters in Kutus, Kirinyaga County.
The money will be used to organise and fund roadshows to mobilize Kirinyaga voters to overwhelmingly turn up and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
