Choosing to live to fight another day, controversial rapper Moroko Kalahari has said hip-hop star Octopizzo deserves his respect as a showbiz kingpin, adding that he can’t compete with him.
Music fans have been alluding that Moroko is Octopizzo’s hip-hop answer, but Moroko says “Octopizzo is on a special lane”.
After releasing a spirits-themed crazy video dubbed Form Gani, reformed rapper Moroko Kalahari has explained that he had to go out of the box to try and compete with Octopizzo and Khaligraph before deciding to cut his own niche. The new video, released last week, features a single camera shot following the rapper and a ‘spirit’ around the hood.
“The idea is a brilliant and I wanted to show what guys do in the hood but in an artistic way,” said Kalahari, who is headed to Germany next month to headline a rap event. “I can’t compete with Khali or Octo. So I have to play smarter.”
