Pulse: In three words, describe your style...
Maureen: Simple, colourful and edgy at times.
P: For the best bargains, where do you shop?
M: Definitely flea markets among them Adams and Gikomba. I love local markets because you can get quality items at unbelievable prices.
P: Where would you never ever buy your make-up?
M: River Road. Nothing is genuine there. I would rather spend a reasonable amount of money when it comes to something I will apply on my face.
P: For a flirty romantic date, what would you wear?
M: A nice sleeveless button-up blouse with a colourful, short A-line or full skirt with a pair of nice strappy heels and a statement neckpiece. I would also carry a black leather jacket in case it gets chilly.
P: What’s your favourite all time day look?
M: A pair of distressed denim, an off shoulder top, a pair of sunglasses, a floppy hat and a pair of cute loafers. The outfit is very practical and decent enough to pass for a stylish ensemble.

P: What is your secret to gorgeous curves?
M: Squats and eating right. Squats define your lower body miraculously. If that’s not for you, you can create an illusion of curves with various body shapers and good old slim belts to define your waist.
P: How often do you shop for new looks?
M: Honestly, all the time. I shop whenever I see something very unique and I feel like it will add value to my wardrobe.
P: How do you keep your outfits fresh?
M: By mixing something old with something new. I believe in buying things you can wear more than once but sometimes after wearing them for a while, you don’t want to wear them anymore. Mixing them with something new brings a whole different vibe to it
P: What does your day in the salon entail?
M: For a quick visit I will have my hair and nails done only. But for a day set for the salon I will do my hair, tweeze my eyebrows, pedicure and finally a facial.
P: Your favourite print...
M: Polka dots. They are timeless and never really go out of style plus they look good with everything. Double win
P: You would never pair a maxi skirt with...
M: A long sleeved button down blouse.
