A Kenyatta University student lost consciousness after allegedly taking a lot of chang’aa at den.
Amos, a second year student slept in the cold throughout the night after consuming the illicit drink.
He was found on the morning of February 24 lying near a dumping pit and rushed to the university’s health unit.
Amos who had several dog bites and was in critical condition before being rushed to hospital.
The area chief, Mrs Agnes Wambulwa was at the scene and said that she had arrested the student twice for drinking, but he had not stopped the habit.

The chief urged the university administration to help stem out illicit and binge drinking by students.
Sr Lucy Ngatia, a nurse at the hospital, said the student is recuperating and once well, will be counseled to quit drinking.
