The Ministry of Education has released the 2020 term dates for schools and colleges.
According to a memo dated September 6, 2019, pre-primary and primary schools will open on January 6, 2020, and will close on April 10 (14 weeks).
Half-term will be from February 17, 2020, to February 21, 2020.
Second term will commence on May 4 to August 2020 (14 weeks) and half-term will be from June 15 to June 19.

Third term will start on August 31 and will end on 0ctober 30 (9 weeks). There will be no half-term.
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) will run from November 2, 2020, to November 5, 2020.
The same dates will apply to secondary schools but the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations will start on November 6, 2020 and end on November 30, 2020.
