Tanzanian gospel artiste Rose Muhando on Tuesday uploaded a song that praises President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Republic of Kenya.

She thanked the country for welcoming her and saving her life when she was unwell and asked God to continue blessing the country’s leaders.

“You opened your doors and welcomed me with open arms. Kenya was gracious to me.

“I don’t know how I will repay your kindness because I am not wealthy but may God bless Kenya,” she sings.

Muhando had been in Kenya for a while but faced a number of challenges that threatened to end her music career.

In November 2018, the Tanzania Music Foundation (TAMUFO) issued a statement asking for the singer to be flown back to her home country for treatment.

This was after a video of Muhando being ‘exorcised’ at a Nairobi church surfaced online.

The gospel artiste was once the talk of town especially after her song Nibebe took the airwaves by storm.

Allegations of drug addiction and abortion have tainted her image since, and in the video that was recorded at Neno Evangelism Centre, Apostle James Ng’ang’a ordered the demons that were tormenting her to come out.

Here is the video:
