Perennial Kenyan champions Gor Mahia have gone four points clear at the summit of the SportPesa Premier League table.

This is after they earned a walkover against Mount Kenya United, who failed to turn up for the match due to lack of transport.

The match was scheduled to kick off on Wednesday at exactly 3 pm but since the Mount Kenya players were still stranded at City Stadium half an hour to the game, the referee had no option but to wait it out, consequently handing K’Ogalo three points through a walkover.

K’Ogalo now sits pretty at the top of the log with 52 points after 23 matches played.

‘Batoto ba Mungu’ Sofapaka are second with 48 points but have played two games more.
