Police in Tanzania last week announced plans to arrest all inhabitants of Ngolo Village after massive destruction of water pipes by a mob.
The villagers were accused of deliberately destroying pipes that take water to Mbeya region and Governor Albert Chalamila ordered their immediate arrest.
Regional commander Ulrich Matei was also irked by the vandalism saying a lot of money had been pumped into that project.
"They committed economic sabotage. The government has disbursed money, installed water pipes and they destroyed them!

“We cannot accept that," he said.
The village has around 1600 inhabitants and police warned that they had “enough vehicles, with enough fuel and police on board" to arrest all of them.
