As the whole country prepared for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s state of the nation address to Parliament, one activist seized the opportunity to protest against harassment of hawkers and boda boda operators in Nairobi by authorities.
He carried a placard reading, “Hawkers are human beings #naifikieUhuru.”
His protest was however short-lived after security personnel whisked him away before his message could reach the intended target.
